Lead - Fire & Safety

Position: Lead - Fire & Safety One Position at M1 Grade

Qualification: B. Tech (Fire) with 60% marks from a recognized University / Institution OR

Graduate with at least 60% marks from a recognized University / Institution with Certification in Fire Course from Govt. Institution (minimum one year)

Experience: Minimum 0 4 Years of post-qualification executive experience in the relevant area

Maximum Age Limit: 40 years

Compensation: A TGP of around Rs.7.84 Lakhs per annum along with Benefits & Perquisite and

Performance Incentive as per Company Policy

Job Description:

• Should be responsible for demonstrating a working knowledge of fire safety rules and regulations and conducting safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with occupational and environmental health and safety requirements
• Responsible for Installation and inspection of all fire-fighting equipment (Fixed & Portables), fire detection systems and alarm systems in the plant area at regular intervals and taking corrective actions to ensure smooth working of the same
• Responsible for operation of all fire & safety equipment including fire tenders in the plant and implementing adherence to Fire & Safety Norms in the building in order to ensure safety of the plant and its occupants
• Commanding Officer in the team to extinguish fire, respond to emergency calls for persons in need of help and to educate the public on fire awareness and prevention.
• Develop and update onsite emergency plan, offsite transport emergency plan and capable of managing disaster management.
• Analyze / respond to reported accidents to evaluate current best practices and recommend changes where necessary
• Maintaining records of all fire & safety related incidents in the plant in the log books / registers
• Any other duties assigned by the management from time to time related to the fire and safety of the plant

Required Profile:

• Sound knowledge in domain area (Fire & Safety)
• The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
• Familiar with current trends and developments in Power Sector
• Exposure to Integrated management system (ISO, OHSAS) will be advantageous
• Should be physically fit & sound and hold tender license
• Good understanding of IT system and savvy at using MS Office packages
• Preference should be given to local candidate from Tripura
