Om Logistics - Senior Backend Developer - Java/Python/Node.js (3-6 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a talented and experienced Backend Developer with a strong foundation in Java, Node.js, and Python to join our dynamic engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems. This role requires a deep understanding of database technologies, distributed systems, API development, and cloud infrastructure. You will be a key contributor in building and maintaining our microservices architecture, ensuring high performance and security.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java, Node.js, and Python.

- Design and optimize both SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.

- Implement and manage distributed queuing systems (e.g., Kafka) for seamless integration with microservices.

- Design and develop RESTful APIs and work with GraphQL.

- Build and maintain microservices architectures, leveraging containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

- Utilize Git for version control and collaborate effectively with the development team.

- Implement and maintain security practices, including secure authentication (OAuth, JWT), data encryption, and API security.

Requirements :

- Experience: 3+ years of backend development experience with a strong focus on Java, Node.js, and Python.

- Expertise in designing and optimizing both SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.

- In-depth knowledge of distributed queuing systems (e.g., Kafka) and how they integrate with microservices architectures.

- Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and working with GraphQL.

- Experience with building and maintaining microservices architectures, leveraging containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

- Proficiency in using Git for version control.

- Excellent analytical and debugging skills to solve complex technical problems and optimize system performance.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and explain complex technical concepts.

Preferred Skills (Optional) :

- Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP).

- Familiarity with serverless architectures.

- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

- Contributions to open-source projects.

Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
