Job Description:

Position: Process Engineering,

Reports: Plant Head,

Responsibilities &

Key Deliverables

• Process planning
• Complete process design in consultation with Product Design and Launch team
• Preparation, verification & maintenance of production BOM (Bill of Materials)
• Conduct Process FMEA for input to facility & process set up for new projects
• Preparation of Fixtures Tools & Gauges (FTG), estimation, justifications, procurement process initiation, Design approval process, installation & commission and buy-off according to project time lines
• Design of Material handling Trolleys, Pallets, Lifting Tackles & other facilities related to manufacturing
• Ensures manufacturing process documentation (Process sheets, Control Plan, Tool Drawings etc.)
• Facility planning
• Preparation of FTG requirements for assembly, stores & logistics
• Facilitate automation in manufacturing & material handling equipments
• Design of Material handling trolleys, pallets & lifting tackles
• Assembly capacity planning (Capacity vs Budget volumes vs actual production)
• Project timelines monitoring
• IT in manufacturing - Digitization
• General Budget (CAPEX) planning
• Plant master layout planning & execution
• Implementation of CMVR & MoRH guidelines
• Change Management
• Quality Concern resolution related to Process
• Ensure & maintain Health, Morale & Safety of employees.

Ensuring system documentation under TS16949, ISO 27001 (ISMS), ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 and requirement in the department.

Competencies :

• Should have knowledge of Automobile OEM, its operations & handling preferable experience of Bus / Heavy Trucks.
• Digitization: Usage of IT in manufacturing & Quality data management system
• Improvement of average factory cycle time Rolldown to RFD (RTR)
• Assembly capacity improvement
• Form-22 related changes as per MoRH guidelines in VAHAN
• Traceability project for existing models
• In-house facilities for kitting & Assy facilities at partner location
• Knowledge of Test track requirement
• Selection & implementation of Vehicle assembly related facilities like power tools, hand tools, fixtures, Oil filling equipments, material handling facilities, checking & testing equipments, etc.
• Auto CAD
• APQP, MPDS
• 5S, Kaizen, Poka-yoke, TPM
• SAP MM module
• Low cost automation
