Dotnet Web Developer

Role & Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain enterprise-scale applications, leveraging .NET technologies, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
• Lead and participate in both Application Development (AD) and Application Maintenance & Support (AMS) projects, ensuring the timely delivery of features and bug fixes.
• Work with Agile/Scrum teams and actively contribute to sprint planning, task estimation, and execution using tools like GitHub, BitBucket, Azure DevOps, and Jira.
• Design, implement, and optimize ASP.NET Web Forms for the front-end, ensuring responsiveness and seamless user experiences.
• Build robust and secure APIs using ASP.NET Web API with JWT token authentication, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Collaborate with the database team to work with SQL Server and MongoDB, optimizing database queries and ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Work within the .NET Framework (version 4.8 and above), providing solutions that align with best practices and industry standards.
• Use Jenkins for continuous integration and automation of builds to ensure smooth deployment processes.
• Deploy applications using Octopus and automate scheduling tasks with Cron Jobs for efficient system operation.
• Implement logging using New Relic for enhanced monitoring and troubleshooting of application performance.
• Work with GitHub as the source repository to ensure proper version control and collaboration within the development team.
• Create and manage reports using SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) to support business decision-making processes (added advantage).
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and optimize application performance.
• Maintain a learning and collaborative mindset while working independently on tasks, delivering results with minimal assistance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6 to 9 years of hands-on experience in software development, preferably as a Senior Developer, Senior Software Engineer, or Senior Lead.
• Strong expertise in ASP.NET Web Forms for front-end development and .NET Framework (version 4.8+).
• Proficiency in developing APIs using ASP.NET Web API with JWT token authentication.
• Solid experience with SQL Server, including database design, queries, and optimization.
• Familiarity with MongoDB (added advantage).
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins for build automation and Octopus for deployment processes.
• Experience with Cron Jobs for scheduling and New Relic for performance monitoring and logging.
• Strong experience with GitHub, BitBucket, Azure DevOps, and Jira in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Previous experience in the Airline-Retail industry or knowledge of the Retail segment of Airlines is preferred.
• Expertise in Payment Gateway/POS systems is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a collaborative mindset to work effectively within teams.
