Your day at NTT DATA

Primary - NetApp 1. Manage and troubleshoot NetApp FAS/AFF storage systems. 2. Configure and optimize NetApp storage protocols (e.g., NFS, CIFS, iSCSI). 3. Implement NetApp SnapMirror, SnapVault, and SnapRestore. 4. Manage NetApp ONTAP operating system. Secondary - Hitachi 1. Manage and troubleshoot Hitachi VSP/G1000 storage systems. 2. Configure and optimize Hitachi storage protocols (e.g., Fibre Channel, iSCSI). 3. Implement Hitachi Thin Image, Dynamic Provisioning, and Storage Virtualization. 4. Manage Hitachi HI-Track software. Tertiary - Dell 1. Manage and troubleshoot Dell Compellent/EqualLogic storage systems. 2. Configure and optimize Dell storage protocols (e.g., iSCSI, Fibre Channel). 3. Implement Dell Storage Center, Enterprise Manager, and Data Protection. 4. Manage Dell Storage SCOS operating system. Storage Area Network (SAN) 1. Design, implement, and manage SAN infrastructure (e.g., Brocade, Cisco). 2. Configure and optimize SAN zoning, masking, and LUN management. 3. Troubleshoot SAN performance and connectivity issues. Storage Virtualization 1. Implement storage virtualization solutions (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). 2. Configure and manage storage virtualization protocols (e.g., VVOLs, Storage Spaces). 3. Troubleshoot storage virtualization issues. Data Protection and Recovery 1. Implement data protection solutions (e.g., NetApp SnapShot, Hitachi replication). 2. Configure and manage backup software (e.g., Veritas NetBackup, CommVault). 3. Develop and execute disaster recovery plans. Security and Compliance 1. Ensure storage system security and compliance with regulatory requirements. 2. Implement security patches and updates. 3. Conduct vulnerability assessments. Monitoring and Logging 1. Configure and manage monitoring tools (Native tools of NetApp, Hitachi, Dell). Technical Requirements 1. 7+ years of experience with storage administration (NetApp, Hitachi, Dell). 2. Strong knowledge of storage protocols (e.g., NFS, CIFS, iSCSI). 3. Experience with storage virtualization and SAN infrastructure. Certifications 1. NetApp Certified Storage Associate (NCSA) or equivalent. Tools and Technologies 1. NetApp FAS/AFF storage systems. 2. Hitachi VSP/G1000 storage systems. 3. Dell Compellent/EqualLogic storage systems.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures that assigned infrastructure at the client site is configured, installed, tested, and operational.
• Performs necessary checks, apply monitoring tools and respond to alerts.
• Identifies problems and errors prior to or when it occurs and logs all such incidents in a timely manner with the required level of detail.
• Assists in analyzing, assigning, and escalating support calls.
• Investigates third line support calls assigned and identify the root cause of incidents and problems.
• Reports and escalates issues to 3rd party vendors if necessary.
• Provides continuous feedback to clients and affected parties and update all systems and/or portals as prescribed by the company.
• Proactively identifies opportunities for work optimization including opportunities for automation of work.
• Coaches L2 teams for advance technical troubleshooting and behavioral skills.
• May manage and implement projects within technology domain, delivering effectively and promptly per client agreed upon requirements and timelines.
• May work on implementing and delivering Disaster Recovery functions and tests.
• Performs any other related task as required.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in IT/Computing (or demonstrated equivalent work experience).
• Certifications relevant to the services provided (certifications carry additional weightage on a candidate’s qualification for the role).
• Relevant certifications include (but not limited to) -
  • CCNP or equivalent certification.
  • CCNP in Security or PCNSE certification or Firewall Vendor related certification is good to have along with advance technical certification like CCIE, CISSP.
  • VMware certified Professional: Data Centre Virtualization.
  • VMware Certified Specialist – Cloud Provider.
  • VMware Site Recovery Manager: Install, Configure, Manage.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Architect Expert.
  • AWS Certified: Solutions Architect Associate.
  • Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE).
  • Rubrik Certified Systems Administrator.
  • Zerto, pure, vxrail.
  • Google Cloud Platform (gcp).
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (oci).
  • SAP Certified Technology Associate - OS DB Migration for SAP NetWeaver 7.4.
  • SAP Technology Consultant.
  • SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA 2.0.
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Professional.
  • IBM Certified System Administrator - WebSphere Application Server Network.

Required Experience:

• Seasoned Managed Services experience handling complex cross technology infrastructure.
• Seasoned experience required in Engineering function within a medium to large ICT organization.
• Seasoned working knowledge of ITIL processes.
• Seasoned experience working with vendors and/or 3rd parties.
