Role Description

• To understand business requirements in the BI context and design data models to convert raw data to meaningful insights
• Designing and developing Power BI reports and dashboards to meet the business stakeholders needs
• Technical knowledge in Oracle, Synapse (Junior to Mid level),SNOW,JIRA
• To design, develop, and deploy Power BI scripts and perform efficient detailed analysis
• Establish row-level data security while comprehending Power BIs application security layer models.
• Create charts and data documentation comprising a description of parameters, techniques, relationships, and models
• Collaborating with data engineers and analysts to acquire, clean, and transform data for reporting purposes
• Creating complex DAX calculations and measures to support data analysis
• Ensuring data security and compliance with best practices
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues in Power BI reports
• Providing training and support to end users on using Power BI
• Proficiency in SQL and data warehouse concepts
• Ensure timely resolution of incidents, escalating to L3 support when necessary.
• Develop data solutions, like data pipelines, data warehousing, and big data solutions, with Azure Synapse Analytics
• knowledge in Azure Synapse (Dedicated SQL Pool, ADLS Gen2 Data Flows, Data Pipelines,  Serverless SQL Pool)

Skills Needed

• Proficiency in Power BI development, including report and dashboard creation
• Strong understanding of data modeling and data visualization concepts
• Experience with SQL for data manipulation and extraction
• Knowledge of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) for creating calculations
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in SQL and data warehouse concepts
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and advanced SQL queries.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with Service Now
• Strong knowledge in Azure Synapse
