HANA DBA

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain SAP HANA databases in on-premises and cloud environments. Monitor database performance and conduct tuning and optimization to ensure system efficiency.
• Implement and manage HANA database backup and recovery strategies. Perform HANA database upgrades, patching, and migrations as needed.
• Ensure high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies are in place.
• Work closely with SAP Basis, infrastructure, and application teams to support SAP landscapes. Manage user access, security policies, and role-based authentication. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in production and non-production environments.
• Automate routine database administration tasks using SQL scripts, Shell scripting, or Python.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements. Document all database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
