We should focus on these 2 systems Data API and ICMS because that s the source of all the data that is consumed by internal and external clients. Specifically, the QE will do these -Testing the ICMS Portal:

Develop and execute test cases to validate functionality and data accuracy of the portal.
Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure compatibility.
Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and unexpected behaviours.
Verify user interface (UI) elements for consistency, accessibility, and responsiveness.
Test role-based access control (RBAC) to ensure proper permissions for internal users.
Collaborate with stakeholders to validate business rules for metadata creation.
Automate user flows using tools such as Cypress and Playwright
Testing the Data API:
Design and implement test cases for API endpoints, focusing on response accuracy and compliance with specifications.
Collaborating with Developers on this team, coordinate stress and performance testing of the APIs
Validate data consistency between the ICMS, the Data API responses and consumer clients such as Forge Pro.
Test authentication and authorization mechanisms for secure access.
Ensure API documentation is accurate and comprehensive by cross-verifying functionality.
Automate API testing using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or similar frameworks.
