Senior PHP Developer (Azure -Architect Level)- Remote

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced PHP Architect to join our team for a 1-year engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP development and expertise in Microsoft Azure. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing scalable solutions while ensuring seamless integration with Azure cloud services.

Role & responsibilities

• Architect and design scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using PHP and Microsoft Azure.
• Lead the development of robust backend systems, ensuring best practices in coding and architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps, and project managers, to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Integrate Azure services such as Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, and
  Storage into application workflows.
• Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior developers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.ments to existing systems.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum of 6 years in PHP development with expertise in architecting scalable applications.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including deployment, monitoring, an integration.
• Frameworks: Hands-on experience with PHP frameworks Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter
• Database Management: Proficiency in working with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Azure SQL.
• DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools like Docker and
  Kubernetes is a plus.
• Security: Understanding of application security practices, including authentication,
  encryption, and secure coding standards.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in agile
  environments.

Nice to have:

• Experience in migrating legacy PHP applications to the cloud.
• Knowledge of serverless architectures and microservices.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, React, or Angular.
• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect or Azure Developer) are a plus.
