Job Description :

We are looking for a Senior Linux Engineer to manage and optimize enterprise infrastructure, including Sun Solaris, RHEL servers, Kubernetes clusters, and virtualization environments.

The role involves system administration, automation, troubleshooting, and ensuring high availability and security across traditional and containerized infrastructures.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Manage and maintain Sun Solaris, RHEL servers, and Kubernetes clusters for optimal performance and security.

- Perform OS patching, upgrades, system hardening, and compliance enforcement.

- Administer virtualization environments, including VM provisioning, SDN, and performance tuning.

- Implement and troubleshoot high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.

- Deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters, networking, storage, and security.

- Design, configure, and manage enterprise storage systems, including PowerMax, Data Domain, and Networker.

- Ensure integrity and reliability of backup and recovery operations, including container-aware solutions.

- Automate system provisioning, configuration, and patch management using Ansible.

- Develop playbooks and streamline routine operational tasks.

- Provide advanced troubleshooting for system, storage, virtualization, and Kubernetes-related issues.

- Implement security best practices, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

- Act as an escalation point for critical incidents and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Skills and Qualifications Required :

- 8+ years of experience in enterprise system administration.

- Hands-on experience with Sun Solaris, RHEL, VMware, OpenShift Virtualization, and Kubernetes.

- Strong expertise in backup solutions (Data Domain, Networker) and storage technologies (PowerMax, NAS).

- Proficiency in automation tools like Ansible for configuration management and Kubernetes orchestration.

- In-depth knowledge of UNIX/Linux system internals, shell scripting, and performance tuning.

- Advanced knowledge of storage protocols (FC, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS) and backup methodologies.

- Experience with virtualization technologies, high availability, and disaster recovery.

- Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture, container networking, and security best practices.

Preferred Certifications :

- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent.

- VMware Certified Professional (VCP).

- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or OpenShift certification.

- Ansible Certification or related automation expertise.

- Storage or backup-related certifications (e., Dell EMC, NetApp).
