Job Description

Information Technology (IT) acts as an internal function the developing, running, and maintaining of the IT systems and platforms Nokia is running on. Develops and maintains applications to meet the business needs of the organisation. Covers the performance and monitoring of day-to-day database and system activities as well as the provision of remote support to users regarding hardware and software problems.

Accountable for the performance/quality and cost/vendor strategy of a specific IT business product in support of the Product Manager.The Product Owner position covers owning, enhancing and implementing applications for critical after sales - Hardware and Software Services - processes, managing the full life-cycle of applications and supervising their running costs.

IT Advancement & Design (ITA) comprises further development of information technologies and IT platforms for business solutions and services. Covers driving of proactive needs analysis ensuring that business needs, demands and challenges are well understood, and that business execution plans and capabilities are delivered on time and within budget. Contains management of demands and priorities while assuring alignment with the corporate strategy and budget. Comprises optimisation, harmonisation, and implementation of Nokia's IT environment and systems by providing area specific knowledge. Covers representation of the whole IT organisation to global or regional business stakeholders and user communities. Works closely with the different service providers that are part of the IT eco-system, governs their performance, and acts as main interface between IT and the business including incident escalations. Comprises identification of opportunities for process and concept development as well as improvements. Covers planning and managing of the development, testing, and implementation of process / concept improvements and system changes at own responsibility area. Contains translation of requirements into system terminology and functionality as well as the delivery of process and system end-user training.

Scope & ContributionIndividual Contributor: Performs and/or coordinates day-to-day activities to meet departmental/project objectives. Carries out root/cause analysis in more complex problems. Can develop and implement recommendations. Managerial/Supervisory: Direct supervisory responsibilities for people. Typically first level (and lowest level) of solid line management. Carries out variety of complex activities according to plan within broader area of responsibility, analyses problems. Decision-making typically according to established solutions.

InnovationAccepts responsibility for and demonstrates support for delegated decisions. Requires minimum supervision. Uses non standard approaches to resolving issues. Suggests improvements and seeks opportunities for innovation. Demonstrates initiative & adaptability to changing business environments. Is willing to take on new roles or jobs appropriate to skill set in different environments and/or locations.

CommunicationWorks to influence others to accept job functions view/practices and agree/accept new concepts, practices, and approaches. Requires ability to communicate with functional leadership regarding team & technical matters. May conduct briefings with senior leaders within the job function. May at times be required to negotiate regarding operational issues.Has cross-cultural knowledge and global mindset

Knowledge & ExperienceExperience with B2B after sales customer care processes (entitlements, case management, repair) and related systems is a big advantage.

Management experience / Achieved advanced skills and knowledge within a specific professional discipline involving the integration of theory and principles with organisational practices and precedents. Typically requires 4-6 years relevant experience and a graduate equivalent (or higher) degree.

No specific system knowledge is required, however a systematic approach in requirements gathering and project execution are expected.Internal customer communication is to be mastered.


Drives enhancements in own area and develops technical innovations for business needs.

Creates implementation roadmaps in line with the product strategy.

Runs the performance excellence with Operations team and provides area expertise to solve business escalations.

Ensures that the business escalations are managed within IT and contributes to the lessons learned created. Collaborates with Operations team to deliver best in class products.
