Head of Finance

Role & responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy, planning, and analysis to drive the firms profitability and growth.
• Oversee treasury functions, capital allocation, liquidity management, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including SEBI, FCA, SEC, and other relevant authorities.
• Supervise financial reporting, tax filings, audits, and investor relations.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and risk management frameworks for financial operations.
• Collaborate with trading, operations, and technology teams to optimize cost structures and financial efficiencies.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
• Stay updated with financial regulations, accounting standards, and best practices in the trading and investment industry.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost management initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing finance team.

Preferred candidate profile

• 10+ years of experience in financial leadership roles, preferably within an HFT, proprietary trading, hedge fund, or financial services firm.
• Chartered Accountant (CA), CFA, CPA, or MBA in Finance from a top-tier institution.
• Strong knowledge of financial instruments, risk management, and capital markets.
• Expertise in regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions (SEBI, FCA, SEC, etc.).
• Proficiency in financial modeling, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
• Experience working with tax structures, transfer pricing, and international accounting practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
