Develop credit scoring models and approval frameworks for different types of loans.
Loan Evaluation & Approval:
Review loan applications and proposals to ensure they meet the company's policies and procedures.
Prepare detailed credit reports and recommendations for approval or rejection based on risk assessment.
Collaborate with the sales and relationship management teams to understand customer needs and provide appropriate credit products.
Portfolio Management:
Monitor and manage the quality of the existing credit portfolio to minimize default risk.
Identify early warning signals of potential defaults or credit deterioration and take corrective measures.
Manage overdue accounts, develop recovery strategies, and coordinate with the collection team.
Policy Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure all credit assessments are in line with regulatory requirements and internal credit policies.
Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure the company's credit operations comply with local and national laws.
Prepare and present periodic reports on credit portfolio performance, risk exposure, and operational efficiency to senior management.
Credit Documentation & Controls:
Ensure that all loan agreements, security documentation, and collateral are accurately prepared, verified, and filed in accordance with company standards.
Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure proper documentation and legal procedures are followed.
Customer Relationship Management:
Work closely with customers to understand their financial needs, guiding them through the loan process and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Act as a liaison between the credit team and other internal teams (sales, operations, risk) to deliver seamless customer service.
Qualifications:
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Masters degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
Certification in Credit Risk Management or related finance credentials is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credit evaluation, underwriting, or credit risk management, preferably in an NBFC, bank, or financial services company.
Proven experience in managing a diverse portfolio of loans and understanding credit risk principles.
Strong knowledge of financial statements analysis, credit scoring models, and loan structuring.
