Estimation Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Analyze product specifications, proposals, and related documents to determine accurate cost estimates.
• Liaise with engineering, procurement, external vendors to gather cost-related data.
• Develop cost structures for new and existing products, considering raw materials, labor, overhead, and consider if any value addition required by the customer .
• Contribute to cost monitoring, variance analysis, and reporting systems to ensure cost control.
• Work closely with suppliers and vendors to obtain competitive pricing for the equipments and components.
• Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising product quality or performance.
• Monitor market trends and industry benchmarks to ensure competitive pricing and cost efficiency.
• Support budgeting and financial planning by providing accurate cost data.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in costing procedures.

Work Experience Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in product costing, cost estimation, preferably in a material handling equipment industry or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of costing methodologies, pricing strategies, and cost reduction techniques, drawing reading ability
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in costing for material handling equipment (forklifts, stackers, order pickers, reach trucks).
