Estimation Engineer

Job description

1. Support Operations Head in managing estimation team's deliverables for assigned project in coordination with Project Team and other stakeholders.

2. Provide appropriate budget advice to facilitate Development team in establishing Project budgets by creating estimates for large and complex projects to ensure project completion is within estimated budgets.

3. Conducting detailed analysis of project specifications and drawings to accurately estimate costs associated with materials, labor, and equipment.

4. Working cross-functionally with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather comprehensive details for precise estimation.

5. Reviewing bids from subcontractors and vendors for conformity to project requirements and overall budgetary constraints.

6. Implementing best practices in cost estimation and establishing protocols for regular updating and revising of estimates.

7. Perform cost analysis, manage tasks and deliverables assigned to ensure that resources are managed, and deadlines are met.

8. Set up cost monitoring principles, procedures and reporting systems to facilitate upper management with information on the project status.

9. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, processes and controls of procurement at all levels. Prepare and present inputs related to organizational/ departmental/ project budgets to the next reporting line.

10. Develop cost plans and control estimates for projects.

11. Determine costs based on project requirements and specifications that are defined for a particular project.

12. Coordinate with other teams to gather details as to the project.

13. Determine the costs of labor, materials, and subcontractors.

14. Enhance resource efficiency and spot cost-saving opportunities.

15. Manage and update research data and software.

16. Evaluate the bids of subcontractors and suppliers for the right price.

17. Write cost reports and perform cost analyses for bidding.

18. Monitor and track budget during the implementation of project activities.
