Safety Officer

Role & responsibilities

1) Advise the Contractor in-charge regarding Statutory Requirements and Legal Requirements.

2) Advice and counsel team members on Safety Matters through meetings & share Incident LFIs to Job Supervisor for Tool Box talks.

3) Provide Resource materials for Safety Training.

4) Impart training to contract manpower and validate them before start of the job under the contract.

5) Lead Safety training program and conduct training at a fixed frequency

6) Submit a report on corrective actions taken on safety observations against the contractor on a daily basis.

7) Maintain Healthiness of all Personnel, PPEs and Safety Equipment and their records.

8) Ensure all IFR suits available with Business Partner personnel are in good condition. Inform site- in- charge for replacement in case any damage is observed in the suits.

9) Carry out a safety audit on a daily basis of all Jobs in areas where the Business Partner operates.

10) Develop Safety audit plan and Participate in Safety audits.

11) Ensure implementation of Safety Audit findings and report to Site in-charge regarding pending points.

12) Analyze Injury patterns and prepare resolution ideas. Assist Site-in-charge in investigation of incidents.

13) Review all incident investigation reports and share the findings with Business Partner personnel across various work locations in the site.

14) Ensure headcount is available with Business Partner job supervisor and known to safety supervisor.

15) Plan and execute campaigns along with site-in-charge for increasing awareness and involvement of each and every contract worker.

16) Ensure no person is engaged in job with ill health condition or with any clinical history of fits, fear from height etc.

17) Prepare and send Monthly reports in line with HSE-S-223-Procedure on Administration of On-Site Contractor Safety.

Must have below educational qualification

1. BE / B. Tech + one-year full time diploma in safety / NEBOSH IGC - 1 Year Experience.

2. Diploma in Engg + one-year full time diploma in safety/ NEBOSH IGC - 4 Years’ Experience

3. B. Sc (Science Graduate) - minimum 4 years of industrial work experience + along with Qualification in Safety certification (Minimum 1-Year fulltime course is mandatory) or NEBOSH-IGC required
