Job Overview: Ensure a safe and compliant work environment by leading the implementation of health and safety measures, conducting risk assessments, and promoting safety awareness within the organization. You'll be responsible for maintaining adherence to regulatory standards, managing safety programs, and fostering a culture of safety that minimizes workplace risks and enhances operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and enforce safety policies that align with legal regulations and organizational goals.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, or near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training and awareness programs to employees and contractors to promote best practices and compliance.
• Prepare and maintain detailed reports on safety-related activities, inspections, and incidents.
• Collaborate with management and external agencies to ensure proper implementation of emergency response plans and compliance audits.
• Oversee the proper use and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure employee safety.
• Stay updated with industry regulations, trends, and technologies to enhance safety practices and protocols.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Safety Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 25 years’ experience in a safety-related role, preferably in interior fit out or construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
• Proficiency in safety management tools and preparation of detailed safety reports.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for training and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities for addressing safety challenges.
• Attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize safety in high-pressure environments.
• Skilled in emergency response planning and coordination with external agencies.
• Leadership qualities to foster a culture of safety across the organization.
