Role & responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations Management:
• Monitor and manage the DI trucks during night shifts to meet dispatch and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with vendors and drivers to ensure timely vehicle placement and departure.
• Ensure smooth flow of operations during night hours, resolving any immediate operational challenges.
• Vehicle Tracking:
• Track and monitor all vehicles in transit using the GPS system.
• Ensure strict adherence to Night Curfew regulations for long-haul (LH) vehicle drivers as per company guidelines.
• Ensure real-time tracking of vehicles and update the operations team and customers on vehicle status.
• Handle any deviations from the planned route, delays, or vehicle breakdowns during the night shift, coordinating with relevant teams to resolve issues.
• Coordination & Communication:
• Serve as the main point of contact for drivers and vendors during night operations, ensuring effective communication on all logistics matters.
• Collaborate with internal teams (operations, customer service, and warehouse) to ensure night-time shipments are processed without disruption.
• Provide regular updates to the day shift team on night operations, including any issues or delays encountered.
• Problem Resolution:
• Address driver concerns and coordinate solutions for issues such as route changes, traffic delays, or other logistical challenges.
• Proactively identify and address potential issues that may impact night operations, such as vehicle breakdowns or vendor non-compliance.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Ensure all night operations data is recorded accurately, including vehicle placement, Online LR preparation, tracking updates, and any incidents.
• Prepare night shift reports and share them with the operations team at the end of the shift.

Preferred candidate profile:

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate in any discipline. Specialization in logistics or transportation is preferred.
• Experience:
• Male candidate preferred with minimum 2-5 years of experience in trucking operations, logistics, or related fields.
• Prior experience in handling night operations or fleet management is a plus.
• Skills:
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with drivers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in using GPS tracking systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
• Other Requirements:
• Flexibility to work night shifts (11 PM to 7 AM).
• Ability to handle pressure and emergencies calmly and efficiently.
