Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance process, ensuring that our software products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. You will lead a team of QA engineers, develop testing strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Test Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans, including functional, regression, performance, and automated testing.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all software releases meet quality standards and are delivered on time by conducting thorough testing and validation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product management, development, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure alignment on quality objectives.
- Issue Management: Identify, document, and track defects and issues throughout the development lifecycle, providing clear and actionable feedback to the development team.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Reporting: Generate and present reports on testing progress, defect trends, and overall quality metrics to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5-8 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on leading QA teams in a technology or software development environment.
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices, including automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment and effectively manage cross-functional relationships.
- Agile Experience: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development teams is highly desirable.
