Cramer Developer - OSS/Telecom (3-8 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cramer Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing solutions using Cramer OSS (Inventory Management) within the telecommunications domain.

You will also leverage your Java and Spring Boot expertise to build robust and scalable backend services and APIs that integrate seamlessly with Cramer and other systems. This position requires a strong understanding of telecom processes, excellent technical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities : -

Cramer Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain solutions using Cramer OSS (Inventory Management), including configuration, customization, and integration.

- Analyze client requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions within the Cramer environment.

- Customize and configure Cramer modules (i.e., Inventory, Service Activation, Resource Management) to meet specific business needs.

- Develop and implement integrations between Cramer OSS and other telecom systems (i.e., CRM, Billing, Network Management) using various integration methods (ie., APIs, message queues).

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within Cramer implementations, including performance optimization and bug fixing.

- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and support.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest Cramer OSS releases, features, and best practices.

- Java and Spring Boot Development :

- Design, develop, and deploy scalable and maintainable backend services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.

- Implement microservices architecture principles to improve application modularity, scalability, and resilience.

- Develop RESTful APIs for seamless integration with other systems, adhering to API design best practices.

- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

- Optimize application performance and ensure high availability.

- Implement robust error handling and logging mechanisms.

Collaboration and Documentation :

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including architects, product managers, QA engineers, and business analysts.

- Participate in Agile development methodologies (i.e., Scrum, Kanban).

- Write and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, API specifications, user guides, and deployment instructions.

- Clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Testing and Debugging :

- Conduct thorough unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing to ensure the quality and stability of developed modules.

- Utilize debugging tools and techniques to identify and resolve technical issues and bugs promptly.

- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

Continuous Improvement :

- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in Cramer OSS, Java, Spring Boot, and the telecommunications industry.

- Proactively identify areas for improvement in system performance, development processes, and code quality.

- Contribute to the team's knowledge base by sharing best practices and lessons learned.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven experience in developing and implementing solutions using Cramer OSS. (Specify preferred version of Cramer)

- Strong understanding of Cramer data models, APIs, and customization options.

- Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot framework.

- Experience with RESTful API development and microservices architecture.

- Solid understanding of software development principles and best practices.

- Experience with version control systems (i.e. Git).

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Experience in the telecommunications domain is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with other telecom technologies and protocols (i.e, TM Forum, SOAP).

- Knowledge of database technologies (i.e., Oracle, MySQL).

- Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.

- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
