Principal Software Engineer - SAP ABAP/OData /API Gateway (10-20 yrs)

Job Description of SAP ABAP/ODATA /API Gateway :

Required Skill :

- Overall 10+ years of SAP development experience with minimum of 2+ years experience in SAP API design and management

- Extensive technical knowledge and experience on SAP ECC/S4 HANA systems with at least 3 full SAP Implementation project life cycle experience

- Extensive ABAP & ABAP on HANA Development Skills - Data Dictionary, Enhancements (BADIs, Exits), Function Modules (BAPIs, RFC), EDI, IDOCS, OO Programming, Rest APIs, SAP Gateway, OData, CDS, CDS Annotations

- Strong development experience in Gateway services and OData concepts

- A strong understanding of web-based technology architectures and familiarity with SOAP, REST web services, and API's

- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.

- Experience managing integrations to and from SAP systems.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and in both a support role and a project role as needed.

- Willingness to work on new technologies with on-the-job learning.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Good to have :

- UI development skills - SAP UI5, Fiori

- HANA Data Modelling and HANA XSA or CAP Programming skills

Responsibilities :

- Coordinate with the onsite/offshore functional team & other technical teams

- Work with SAP functional/Business analysts to formalize and provide technical expertise for new business requirements and also suggest value additions to existing landscape.

- Design, develop, test, and maintain SAP ABAP programs, RFCs, BAPI's, FM's, Classes, and other solutions tailored to business processes and integration needs.

- Design and Develop SAP OData Models/Services using SAP Gateway Service builder that facilitates external creation and consumption of APIs.

- Debug and Troubleshoot issues.

- Complete technical specifications

- Execute testing lifecycle from Unit Test through UAT and Regression to ensure effective delivery of high-quality solutions in the program landscape.

- Stay up to date with the latest SAP technologies, tools, and best practices to continuously improve development processes and solutions
