Sr. Tech Lead / Architect I - Embedded Hardware

Based in our Pune, India location, you will be a member of a collaborative product development group. You will have the opportunity to lead Innovative embedded product development and work with global technical leadership teams for embedded products for Emerson business units located across the globe. You ll be employed for Emerson Innovation Centre, Pune (EICP)

• Report to the local EICP Director - Electronics Center of Excellence (ECoE)
• Support EICP Director - Electronics Center of Excellence (ECoE) for program management and execution
• Facilitate product knowledge and develop quality culture within ECoE Team
• Work with cross-functional and global teams to develop and support Emerson s industrial measurement products
• Technical ownership of products
• Nurture innovative and quality development culture within organization
• Provide Architectural & System engineering direction to local Electronics team members
• Lead and/or assist new product development activities such as: create architecture design, new circuit designs, leverage existing designs, identify and use proven technologies and Provide guidance/support for debugging to the team
• Prepare/support technical proposals, estimate efforts/dependencies to plan, Peer review schematics and printed circuit board layouts, and prepare required technical documentation

• Engineering in Electronics
• Twenty (20) or more years of applicable experience
• Knowledgeable in microcontroller-based board level design, Precision Analog design, High Speed Design, Precision Analog Design & Power supply & well versed global Hardware development cycle
• Experience with simulation and analysis tools
• Ability to flex working hours to accommodate global time differences

• Experience leading and executing new circuit board designs
• Experience working with international teams
• Familiarity with industrial digital communication protocols (e.g. 4-20mA, HART, Modbus)
• Experience with EMC requirements and design techniques
• Experience with international safety and hazardous location design, including intrinsic safety & SIL standards design
