Technical Writer

We are looking for a Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products. You will be responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, manuals, and online help content and work collaboratively with developers, quality engineers, product managers, and usability experts to make our products easier to use.

Responsibilities:

• Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
• Work closely with product managers, developers, QA and other stakeholders to gather information and understand the technical aspects of products.
• Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
• Writes descriptive manuals and guides for complex subjects
• Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides
• Create tutorials to help end-users use our product
• Analyse existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
• Participate in Sprint ceremonies to stay updated on new features and changes.
• Ensure all documentation adheres to the companys style guides and standards.
• Use industry-standard tools to create and manage technical content (e.g., MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, MS Word).

Skill Set:

• Proven 5+ years of working experience in technical writing of software product documentation.
• Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development.
• Proficiency with documentation tools and software, such as: MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, Paligo , Markdown editors (e.g., Typora, Markdown Pad)
• Experience with graphic design tools, such as: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Snagit.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Bitbucket.
• Experience with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress or Confluence is an advantage.
• Bachelors degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
