Accountant

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. This role requires expertise in managing customer accounts, processing GST-compliant invoices, following up on payments, maintaining accurate financial records using software tools like Tally and Zoho, and assisting with the preparation of company financial statements such as balance sheets and profit & loss statements.

Key Responsibilities:

• GST Compliance and Invoicing:
• Prepare and manage GST-compliant invoices for customers.
• Ensure timely filing of GST returns and resolve any GST-related issues.
• Maintain records of GST payments and ensure they align with company accounts.

• Payment Follow-Up:
• Follow up with customers for outstanding payments and ensure timely collection.
• Maintain clear records of payment status, identify overdue accounts, and escalate when necessary.
• Work with customers to resolve any payment disputes or issues.

• Invoice Management:
• Generate and process invoices on a regular basis, ensuring all details are correct.
• Track and record payments related to invoices.
• Ensure invoices are sent promptly and accurately to customers.

• Customer Account Maintenance:
• Manage and maintain customer accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Update customer contact information and payment preferences as necessary.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by addressing queries and concerns related to their accounts.
• Financial Reporting and Analysis:
• Assist in the preparation and management of the companys balance sheet, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
• Monitor and track cash flow, ensuring that payments and receipts are properly recorded.
• Analyze financial data and provide reports to management to assist in strategic decision-making.

• Software Tools Management (Tally & Zoho):
• Utilize Tally to record, manage, and reconcile financial transactions.
• Use Zoho for customer account management, invoicing, and financial reporting.
• Ensure that financial data is accurately entered and maintained in both systems.
• Internal Communication:
• Work closely with other teams such as Sales, Finance, and Customer Support to ensure smooth coordination and timely resolution of financial issues.
• Provide financial reports and updates to senior management as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience (1+ years) in account management, financial management, or accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of GST compliance and filing processes.
• Proficiency in Tally and Zoho for accounting and customer relationship management.
• Excellent understanding of invoice generation, payment follow-up, and financial record-keeping.
• Strong understanding of balance sheet and profit & loss statement preparation and analysis.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with customers and internal teams.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
