About the vacancy
We ll beexpanding to a new region, Asia. To support that initiative, we are looking torecruit a Project Manager specifically for our first project in that region,the NewCold cold storage warehouse project in Mumbai.
The Project Manageris the link between a new worksite, the headquarters, contractors, suppliers,and all cross functional departments. The holder of this position is workingclosely with disciplines and team members in order to facilitate the projectgoing all the way from the preparation and brief - stage to the warehousebeing operational. In this role, he/she makes sure that the project gets deliveredon time, within budget and in scope. While managing the project, the Project Managerensures that Health & Safety protocols are embedded from the beginning in theproject scope and executed on site. As NewCold currently starts building itsAsian Development Organization, the Project Manager will - on a temporarilybase - report to the VP Construction EU.
Whatwill you do
Provide leadership to the project team and local site team.
Assume responsibility for the outcome of the project, financially, timewise and technically, both during the preconstruction phase as well as the realization phase.
Manage that the project activities that are defined in the NewCold Plan of Work are done in accordance to the Schedule and that the quality of the Deliverables as defined in the NewCold Plan of Work meets the standard.
Manage the design and procurement with support of HQ and the associated architectural and engineering companies
Daily supervision and directing of the General Contractor, Suppliers and Specialist Contractors, with mandatory utilization of the internal global disciplines.
Ensure the administrative processes such as all project related documentation, permits, drawings, minutes etc. are in place and recorded for future reference.
Lead and organize Steering Committee meetings and project meetings.
Periodically report to the NewCold Board and give the required input for reporting to the client and investors including the dedicated project team, HQ in the Netherlands, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders

Master s or Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
At least 10 years of professional experience as a senior project manager on complex building construction, automation or logistics projects.
Experience in managing highly technical and complex projects.
In-depth knowledge of principles, practices, and theories of project management..
A solid understanding of principles regarding regulations pertaining to construction and installation including and not limited to permitting, safety and environmental management.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English and the local language.
Willingness to be on site as much as is required and to travel within India as needed.
