Lead and manage a team of billing specialists, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance, productivity, and professional development.
Set clear objectives, establish performance metrics, and conduct regular performance evaluations to drive continuous improvement.
Develop and implement efficient billing processes, workflows, and procedures to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in the billing cycle.
Identify opportunities for automation, system enhancements, and process improvements to streamline billing operations and reduce manual effort.
Oversee billing software or systems, ensuring proper configuration, maintenance, and optimization to support accurate and efficient billing processes.
Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to address technical issues, implement upgrades, and enhance system functionality as needed.
Serve as a point of contact for billing inquiries and escalations from customers or clients, resolving issues promptly and maintaining positive customer relationships.
Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to address billing-related concerns and improve overall customer satisfaction.
Prepare regular reports and presentations on billing performance, metrics, and insights for management review and decision-making.
Collaborate with Finance, Deal Desk, Sales, IT and our customers to ensure accurate and timely invoicing
This role requires
Bachelor s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
Minimum 10 years of experience in billing management roles, with a proven track record of success in leading billing teams and driving process improvements.
In-depth knowledge of billing principles, practices, and regulations, with a strong understanding of compliance requirements (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley, GDPR).
Proficiency in using billing software, accounting systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to optimize billing operations.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with consumption/usage-based billing
Experience with Salesforce, Zuora, NetSuite, Billing Platform etc
Experience with implementation of new billing tools/transitions
