Housekeeping Associate

Role & responsibilities

• Room Cleaning: Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including changing bed linens, making beds, dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, and replenishing toiletries and amenities.
• Public Area Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness in public spaces, including corridors, lounges, bathrooms, elevators, and other common areas.
• Laundry Duties: Collect, wash, and fold linens and towels; ensure the proper storage of clean linens.
• Restocking Supplies: Refill amenities such as soap, shampoo, toilet paper, and other room supplies as needed.
• Maintain Inventory: Monitor cleaning supplies and report shortages to supervisors.
• Guest Requests: Respond to guest requests promptly and courteously, ensuring their needs are met with a high level of service.
• Safety Standards: Follow all safety guidelines for cleaning, handling chemicals, and using equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
• Report Maintenance Issues: Identify and report any maintenance or repair issues in guest rooms or public areas.
• Waste Disposal: Empty trash cans and dispose of waste in appropriate areas.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other housekeeping staff, supervisors, and hotel management to ensure smooth operations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
• Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
