Cloud Spanner Architect/Lead (7-14 yrs)

As the Cloud Spanner Lead/Architect, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design and architecture of our cloud-native database infrastructure. You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure the integration of Google Cloud Spanner, a fully managed, scalable, and strongly consistent database service, into our architecture. This is an exciting opportunity to influence key projects and leverage your expertise in Cloud Spanner and cloud-based solutions.

Required Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience :

- 7+ years of experience in database architecture, including at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Spanner.

- Proven experience in architecting cloud-based databases and working with distributed systems.

- Strong expertise in cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud (GCP), with practical experience in Spanner, BigQuery, and other GCP products.

Technical Skills :

- Expertise in Cloud Spanner data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.

- Familiarity with other database technologies (e.g., relational databases, NoSQL, or data warehousing solutions).

- Experience with automation and CI/CD pipelines for database management.

- Knowledge of networking, security, and best practices for cloud architecture.

- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) and database automation tools.

Leadership :

- Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
