Servicenow Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement custom applications and modules within the ServiceNow platform.
• Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Configure and customize ServiceNow out-of-the-box (OOB) features such as Service Catalog, Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and more.
• Develop workflows, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Scheduled Jobs within ServiceNow.
• Maintain and manage ServiceNow instances, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow modules.
• Participate in version upgrades, new feature rollouts, and patch management.
• Provide training and support to users, ensuring smooth operation and adoption of the ServiceNow platform.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define system specifications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of processes, configurations, and customizations.

Key Modules and Skills:

• Incident Management: Customize forms, workflows, and notifications for managing incidents.
• Service Catalog: Design and implement catalog items, requests, and associated workflows.
• Change Management: Configure change workflows, approval processes, and integrate with other modules.
• Problem Management: Implement problem detection, analysis, and resolution workflows.
• Asset Management: Configure asset lifecycle processes, including procurement, deployment, and decommissioning.
• Knowledge Management: Customize knowledge articles, approval workflows, and integrations with other modules.
• Configuration Management Database (CMDB): Configure and maintain the CMDB, managing CIs and their relationships.
• Service Level Management (SLM): Define and configure SLAs, OLAs, and associated reporting.
• Virtual Agent / Chatbots: Develop conversational AI for automating user interactions.
• IntegrationHub / REST/SOAP APIs: Implement integrations with third-party systems using REST and SOAP web services.
• Event Management: Set up event processing, alert management, and integration with monitoring tools.
• Security Incident Management: Customize workflows for managing and tracking security incidents.
• Performance Analytics: Configure dashboards and reports for visualizing key metrics.
• Mobile App Development: Customize ServiceNow's mobile application interface for users.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in ServiceNow development.
• Proficiency in ServiceNow development tools, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Workflows.
• Experience with ServiceNow modules such as Incident, Change, Service Catalog, Asset Management, and CMDB.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow scripting languages: JavaScript, GlideScript, and AngularJS.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrations within ServiceNow.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and ServiceNow Agile Development plugin is a plus.
• ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer) are preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ServiceNow ITOM modules like Discovery, Orchestration, and Event Management.
• Familiarity with Performance Analytics, Reporting, and Dashboards.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow upgrade processes and best practices.
• Prior experience in implementing and customizing ServiceNow in an enterprise environment.
