Assistant Manager/ Manager

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the purchasing function for materials, equipment, and services needed for manufacturing operations in the CRGO industry.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet production and operational requirements.
• Evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with vendors to ensure cost efficiency and quality standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and work closely with production teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
• Track and manage purchase orders, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and specifications.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Analyse market trends and stay informed of industry changes to adjust purchasing strategies as required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, logistics, and quality control to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions, contracts, and purchase orders in the company's procurement system.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 7-9 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement practices, supply chain management, and vendor negotiations independently.
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Familiarity with CRGO or related industries is a strong plus.
