Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Central Asset Manager to oversee and optimize the lifecycle of our organization’s physical assets. The ideal candidate will ensure effective utilization, maintenance, and tracking of assets, contributing to the organization’s operational efficiency. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, analytical skills, and a commitment to sustainable asset management practices.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Asset Management:
- Develop and implement asset management policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all physical assets, including equipment, tools, and vehicles.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards for asset utilization and maintenance.
- Oversee the procurement, allocation, and disposal of assets.
- Monitor asset performance to identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved efficiency.
- Plan and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Prepare and manage the asset management budget.
- Generate regular reports on asset utilization and maintenance costs.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior management for decision-making.
- Coordinate with department heads and site managers to ensure asset availability and proper usage.
- Train staff on asset management software and procedures.
- Conduct audits and inspections to ensure asset integrity and compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree / diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in asset management, inventory control, or a similar role.
- Familiarity with asset management software (e.g., ERP systems).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
