Account Executive

Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports. The role requires someone who is meticulous, organized, and has a good understanding of accounting principles, with proficiency in accounting software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage invoicing, payments, and receipts; ensure timely payment of vendor bills and outstanding invoices.
• Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and support audit preparations.
• Tax Compliance: Assist with GST filings, tax-related documents, and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Payroll: Support the payroll function and ensure that employee salaries are paid accurately and on time.
• Accounting Software: Maintain and update accounting software for smooth day-to-day operations (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
• Cost Management: Track expenses and manage petty cash accounts.
• Record Keeping: Maintain organized financial records and ensure documentation is up to date.
• Internal Controls: Assist with the implementation of internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial information.
• Support Audits: Coordinate with auditors and support in the preparation of audit reports.
• Reporting to Senior Accounts Manager: Regularly report on financial performance and highlight any discrepancies or areas for improvement.

Key Skills:

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP)
• Strong knowledge of GST, Taxation, and financial regulations
• Ability to manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Experience in bank reconciliation, payroll management, and financial reporting
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables)
• Attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or related field
• Postgraduate qualifications (M.Com) or CA Inter will be a plus

Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in accounting or finance.
• Experience with GST filing and tax compliance is a must.
• Knowledge of accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or SAP.
