Job Description

About The Role :.
Lead, direct and guide the maintenance team of a combination of units to achieve stated plant reliability and plant performance goals by coordinating with all service agencies by proper utilization of available resources..
Responsibilities.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.
Effective Instrumentation Maintenance.
Authority:To depute the engineers and get the job done safely and timely..
Adherence to Planned Maintenance Schedule and timely attendance to Breakdown..
Preparation of FA/RCA reports & implementation of all recommendation..
Effective of SAP system for various Maintenance & Spares procurement activities..
Establish Complaint management system for internal customers and take of corrective action with in time..
Maintenance System & Practices..
Develop and implement SOP/SMPs (Standard Operating /Maintenance Procedures)..
Identify & develop alternate vendors for repairs other than OEM, consulting various NES etc..
Ensure availability of critical spares for instrumentation equipment and ensure equipment availability..
Implementation & updation of RCM related compliance..
Commissioning assistance and Shut down monitoring for timely completion..
Financial Perspective.
Provide inputs for preparing the Area wise Revenue & Capital Budget..
Monitor & track the actual vs planned revenue/capital budget & control the expenditure through cost control measures..
Effective utilization of available Resources..
Implementation of Energy Conservation measures..
Participative Management for enhancing Economic efficiency of the organization because all team members will accept decisions, work with better cooperation..
Motivate team member to contribute ideas which can be useful to management..
Establish Upward communication to proper decision making at the Top..
By information sharing regarding Budget/production/Department/Organization condition etc..
Organization Development, Depth of Management & Learning & Growth of Instrumentation Team members.
Identify potential of all team members and give opportunity to improve instrumentation system through proper job rotation..
To Conduct knowledge sharing session, arranging trainings for the team and guide as a mentor to the area..
To do Skill gap analysis and Multiskilling development for the Subordinates..
Decide Goal statements for the Subordinates in line with organizational goals..
OHSMS.
HSEF:Care & welfare:.
To ensure safe working condition for all the employees working in refinery instrumentation areas..
Authority:To stop any unsafe job being carried down in refinery area..
Ensure Safety Training for all Staff..
To comply the recommendations of Safety Audit points within target..
Ensure PPE compliance by all working staff..
Risk assessment for all jobs in allocated area..
ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Systems, Policies & Procedures:To be accountable for implementation and improvement of the EMS systems, procedures & policies in respective functional operations..
To ensure adherence to the all health, safety, and environment systems during all maintenance activities..
Ensure 100% housekeeping of field Area..
To ensure compliance of EMS 14001..
Energy Management Systems 50001:2018.
Energy Management system:He should be aware about Energy policy, significant energy uses, Energy objectives and Energy Management System..
Awareness of energy policy and objectives of energy management system..
Monitoring and control of EnPIs..
To ensure adherence to the all ENMS systems..
To ensure compliance of all activities of ENMS..
He should be aware about Energy policy, significant energy uses, Energy objectives and Energy Management System..
Monitoring and controlling of EnPIs, variables, baseline, Objective/ Targets & Management programs (Energy action plan) and Energy performance..
KEY CHALLENGES.
As the Heater pass flow indications are unreliable, hence it is a challenge to monitor & ensure to achieve zero downtime of equipment..
CDU heaters skin thermocouples are not reliable.
Needs to be improved by better design & installation method..
Qualifications.
Educational Qualifications & Certifications:.
Graduate Engineer (Instruments and Controls) or equivalent.
Relevant (Functional/Level) & Total Years of Experience:.
Should have Min 18 to 25 years of experience in relevant field of Instrument maintenances..
Exposer to project execution..
Exposure to engineering function related to instrumentation..
Functional Skills:.
In-depth knowledge of maintenance of Instrumentation and related systems in Refinery / Petrochemical plant..
Proper planning and data keeping..
Knowledge on Best Maintenance Practices, Knowledge on Safety Trip Interlocks Procedure & also on enhancing the reliability of the equipment with proper maintenance practices..
