Manager - IST Finance (product middle office)

Role & responsibilities

To assist the Mid-office team in handling all the financing and accounting related activities pertaining to Product Exports in the IST Finance division.

Exports Deal/ Trades evaluation and documentation

• Evaluate Product Exports deals and ensure sign off from the authorised signatories. Maintain the records of the same.
• Verify tenders floated and call recordings of deals concluded.
• Check the deals entered in the trade capturing system.

Execution of Pre-finance Agreements

• Compilation and evaluation of pre-finance tenders floated by the company and seek approvals as per the DOA.
• Work in close co-ordination with trading desk and corporate finance for execution of pre-finance documentation.
• Preparation of cover ratio certificates on timely basis.
• Performing variance analysis (retro) for active pre-finance deals on monthly basis.

Handling of secondary costs pertaining to IST and Domestic Marketing

• Verification and processing of expenses such as freight, charter hire, demurrage, port dues and other expenses.
• Reconciliation of advance port dues against the final port invoices.
• Verification of time charter vessel performance evaluation.

Product Exports Receivables

• To prepare computation of pricing of the products exported as per contract.
• Scrutinising Letter of Credit received from export customers.
• Monitoring of credit exposure for all exports made by Nayara.

IST related activities

• Compilation of annual budget of IST based on the data received from all desks, review and maintain
• Process all the IST related service invoices for accounting and payment. Maintain MIS of all such services.

Meeting the deadlines relating to Month end closing activities.

• Provision relating to demurrage claims, IST related service expenses and expenses incurred by IST for the vessel chartered for Domestic marketing

Ensure smooth closure of Audit requirements

• To provide data and documents to auditors and clarification to their queries for quarterly, half yearly and annual audits.
