Accommodation

The Port Authority/IPA (Indian Ports Association) will provide bachelors accommodation as applicable. Candidates may transfer/relocate based on project needs.

Remuneration

Based on the last CTC, relevant experience, fitment, and performance in interviews. Payroll is to be managed by NISG (National Institute for Smart Government, https://www.nisg.org/) for Indian Ports Association (Apex Body of Major Indian Ports attached with Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Govt. of India) https://www.ipa.nic.in/.

Project

The Port Enterprise Business System (EBS) is designed to integrate three core solution components: Port Operations Solution, Standard ERP solutions, and Auxiliary solutions. Port-EBS aims to seamlessly integrate with Port Community Systems (PCS) viz, the National Logistics Portal (Marine) and other systems, while also incorporating third-party applications such as those used by port customers (Vessel Agents, CHA, Importers/Exporters), partners (Stevedores, etc.), Railways (FOIS), and various government websites (DGS, e-GRASS, etc.). The ultimate objective is to create a comprehensive business solution that utilises best-of-breed applications, maintains port-specific instances, leverages a common central infrastructure, ensures data access integrity, upholds business rule autonomy and provides flexibility for the port.

Module Focus:

• Primarily work on the SAP-FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) and SAP-SD (Sales and Distribution) modules to support and enhance business processes.
• Provide insights or secondary support for modules such as SAP-MM (Materials Management), SAP-PS (Project Systems), SAP-PM (Plant Maintenance), SAP-SRM (Supplier Relationship Management), SAP-CRM (Customer Relationship Management), SAP-HCM (Human Capital Management), POS (Point of Sale), E-Office, and HMS (Hospital Management System) as needed.

Business Alignment:

• Align SAP workstreams with various business functions to deliver efficient, effective, and innovative solutions that meet the highest standards.
• Ensure seamless integration and functionality across the SAP landscape to support organizational objectives.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate effectively with the Indian Ports Association (IPA), Managed Service Providers (MSP), and Port Authority teams to address system requirements, resolve issues, and implement enhancements.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, facilitating clear communication and solution delivery.

Qualification

- Full-time Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Engineering/ IT/ Information Systems/ Computer Applications or equivalent from a recognised institution/ university.

- Certification in Maritime/Shipping/Import-Export domain (preferred).

SAP Professional Certification (preferred).

Experience Required

- 3 to 5 years of experience in one or more SAP modules (SD/MM/FICO). Knowledge in multiple functional areas is a plus.

- Should worked as functional consultant for FICO module of SAP 3~5 years

- Preferably worked as SD functional Consultant of SAP 3~5 years

- Minimum of two end-to-end SAP implementation/rollout projects.

- Expertise in data conversion from legacy systems to SAP and implementation of software applications.

- Consulting experience in projects with distributed teams and integration of SAP solutions with other applications.

- Hands-on experience in solution design, configuration, and flawless Functional/Technical Spec creation.

- Knowledge of FIORI and experience in Waterfall and Agile Project Delivery models.

- Port domain experience is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with business managers and process owners (Port users) to understand and deliver business needs in the software.

- Define and deliver Functional/Technical SAP solutions, integrating various business problems effectively.

- Validate and challenge solution proposals from system integration partners.

- Manage functional scope, risks, schedules, and resource allocation.
