Job Description
- To act as a receptionistgreet the public and receives patients and visitors at the Registration and Reception desk.
- Attend to customer queries and always demonstrate good customer care attitude.
- Balance daily cash reports
- Greet patients and answer telephone in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Register patients and screen for eligibility and financial assistanceopening all encounters with accuracyensuring all patient information on forms is filled out correctly and completely. Enter all patient data accurately and verify patient information at every visit.
- Co-ordinate in processing of patient registration and patient check up with doctor.
- Schedule patient appointmentspre-screening patients for eligibility for financial assistance programs and preparing them to bring payment and/or documentation. Confirm appointments and fills in those slots that cancel using wait lists.
- Communicate effectively with the supervisorasking questions of supervisor when unsure of policy or procedure rather than assumingand reports unusual patient/guest behavior in a timely manner.
- Collect specified co-pays and payments from patients per coverage specifications and from self-pay patients; inputs same in computer system .
- Makes every attempt to collect past due amountsor have patient sign a payment agreement format the time of each patient visit.
- Participate in appropriate training offered by the organizationproviding feedback on the sessions to support continuous improvement
- Participates in improvement activities as requested at work site and/or across the organization.
