Job Title: Purchase Executive
Reports to: Procurement Manager/Director
Location: Vashi, Navi Mumbai
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Purchase Executive to manage the procurement of chemical raw materials, engineering equipment, and maintenance equipment for our specialty chemicals manufacturing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for arranging transportation and logistics for purchased materials, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement of Raw Materials and Equipment:
- Source and procure chemical raw materials, engineering equipment, and maintenance equipment from suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
2. Supplier Management:
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance, quality, and reliability.
- Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks.
3. Logistics and Transportation:
- Arrange transportation and logistics for purchased materials.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as production and warehouse teams.
4. Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials and equipment.
- Ensure accurate inventory records and reporting.
5. Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with procurement activities.
Requirements:
1. Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing in the chemical industry.
- Experience with procurement of chemical raw materials and equipment.
3. Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
