Job Title: Sales Engineer


Job Summary:

The Sales Engineer plays a pivotal role in driving the growth of the organization by supporting the sales team through client meetings, technical support, and generating leads. The role requires a strong understanding of customer needs and a deep knowledge of field instrumentation to propose effective solutions. The Sales Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the proposed products or services align with client requirements while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, communication skills, and business acumen.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Support in Sales: Collaborate with the Inside Sales team to understand customer requirements and provide appropriate solutions. Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals to both potential and existing clients. Contribute to the development of sales strategies that align with the companys technical capabilities and customer needs.
  2. Product Expertise: Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s products, services, and technologies. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and competitor products to provide clients with the best solutions.
  3. Customer Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business challenges and technical requirements. Serve as the primary technical point of contact during the entire sales cycle, ensuring smooth communication and customer satisfaction.
  4. Proposal Development: Work closely with the Inside Sales team to prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates, proposals, and technical documents. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure the feasibility of solutions and alignment with client needs.
  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively with R&D, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure customer satisfaction and continuous product improvement. Provide valuable feedback on customer needs and market trends to help shape future product development.
  6. Customer Visits: Be willing to travel extensively (up to 70% of the time) for customer meetings, site visits, and relationship-building activities. Cultivate long-term relationships with clients to foster trust and ongoing business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: A Diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering (e.g., Electrical & Instrumentation, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or a related field).
  2. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales or pre-sales in the field of Instrumentation/Automation. Fresh graduates may be considered based on basic knowledge and a positive attitude. A fair understanding of products such as Flow Meters, Level Transmitters, etc.
  3. Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and email communication. Familiarity with CRM tools. Basic technical knowledge in Instrumentation/Automation. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present and negotiate effectively.
