Senior Staff Engineer (AWS Cloud Infrastructure)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Extensive Experience with AWS cloud platform
• Extensive experience in Architecting, building, and maintaining cost-efficient, scalable cloud environments for the organization involving best practices for monitoring and cloud governance
• Expert in design and build advanced cloud-based solutions and migrate existing workloads to the cloud platform
• Keeping up to date on best practices in cloud computing and making improvements to the cloud infrastructure of their company or organization.
• Extensive experience in CI tools like Jenkins and building end to end CI/CD pipelines
• Rich experience with container frameworks like Docker, Kubernetes and cloud native container services
• Extensive experience in Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, ARM
• Good experience with anyone CM tools of following: Ansible, Chef, Saltstack, Puppet
• Good Experience in monitoring tools like Prometheus & Grafana, Nagios/ CloudWatch/DataDog/Zabbix and logging tools like Splunk/LogStash
• Good expertise in scripting and automation using languages like Bash/Shell, Python, PowerShell, Groovy, Perl.
• Configure and manage data sources like MySQL, Mongo, Elasticsearch, Redis, Cassandra, Hadoop, PostgreSQL, Neo4J etc
• Good experience on managing version control tool like Git, SVN/BitBucket
• Well versed with Jira and Confluence administration
• Good problem-solving ability, strong written and verbal communication skills
• Cloud Certification (Architect/DevOps)
• Any certification on Jira and Confluence administration

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understanding the clients business use cases and technical requirements and be able to convert them into technical design which elegantly meets the requirements.
• Mapping decisions with requirements and be able to translate the same to developers.
• Identifying different solutions and being able to narrow down the best option that meets the clients requirements.
• Defining guidelines and benchmarks for NFR considerations during project implementation
• Writing and reviewing design document explaining overall architecture, framework, and high-level design of the application for the developers
• Reviewing architecture and design on various aspects like extensibility, scalability, security, design patterns, user experience, NFRs, etc., and ensure that all relevant best practices are followed.
• Developing and designing the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements; and defining technologies, patterns, and frameworks to materialize it
• Understanding and relating technology integration scenarios and applying these learnings in projects
• Resolving issues that are raised during code/review, through exhaustive systematic analysis of the root cause, and being able to justify the decision taken.
• Carrying out POCs to make sure that suggested design/technologies meet the requirements.
