Job Title: Senior Engineer Civil & Structure

Job Summary:

• Senior Engineer-C&S should be able to manage a team of engineers & designers to deliver safe and constructible structural engineering designs on all projects and other activities that meets/surpasses the expectations of hosts and clients in relation to: innovative, sustainable and intelligent design; fee and client budgetary constraints; and project time-based targets.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver innovative, sustainable, efficient, safe, practical and intelligent structural engineering solutions on all projects and other activities, appropriate to the stage and type of project.
• Lead and deliver single or multiple project scopes
• Participate in project scope definition, Project Execution Plan, kick off, reviews, risk reviews, issue resolution, change management meetings for the assigned project scope
• Interaction with Host counterparts to gather inputs, validate assumptions, resolve technical queries
• Undertake multi-discipline coordination activities (clash reviews, Model reviews) with all relevant members of the design team to ensure that efficient and integrated structural solutions are produced on all projects
• Verification of deliverables and ensure project deliverables meets expected quality
• Responsible to meet KPIs (Ontime Delivery, First Time Acceptance, Effort Variance, Rework) for the assigned projects
• Manage a team of engineers and designers to produce complete, coordinated and high-quality project information (3D model, 2D drawings, specifications, Design reports, calculations and other documents) on time and on budget to meet agreed deadlines and exceed company/hosts/clients expectations.
• Ensure the overall stability of structures in the permanent/final condition as well as during construction.
• Ensure all designs/drawings/calculations are thoroughly checked independently by other engineers, and ensure all errors are corrected prior to issue of the documents.
• Ensure Health and Safety is considered at all stages of the design process such that the designs produced minimize risk during construction while exceeding the host/clients expectations.
• Ensure reviews are conducted sufficiently in advance of all deadlines, such that any necessary amendments can comfortably be completed prior to issue as agreed.
• Ensure high standards of presentation are maintained in all documents issued by the team.
• Provide technical assistance to the team as required.
• Assist Department manager in estimate/review efforts and timelines for proposals.
• Comply with the Companys Quality Assurance procedures for all the projects.

Core Competencies:

• In depth functional knowledge in 3D modelling software, Revit and AutoCAD.
• Expertise in Analysis tools like STAAD Pro, RAM Structural, ROBOT etc.
• Technical knowledge and understanding of Engineering Design and Construction for process plants in various sectors like ATF, BLS, FMCG, Chemical, Food processing etc.
• Hands on experience on international projects.
• Extensive knowledge in Civil & Structural Design and Analysis.
• Experience in application of international codes of practice (Eurocodes, US codes, APAC Local codes)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools

Qualification/License/Certification:

• Masters Degree in Structural Engineering.
• Bachelors degree in civil engineering.
• Registration with at least one domestic/international professional body of civil engineers (optional)
