Handle day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
Assist in preparing financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
Post journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts. Process accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices and client payments.
Verify and reconcile vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
Monitor overdue accounts and follow up for timely collection of receivables.
Assist in the preparation of tax returns (GST, VAT, Income Tax) and other statutory filings. Support the preparation of financial reports and provide data for audits. Reconcile bank statements and ensure cash transactions are recorded accurately. Manage petty cash and assist with cash flow monitoring.
Assist in payroll preparation and ensure accurate deductions and compliance with tax laws. Maintain organized records of financial transactions, invoices, receipts, and other documents. Assist with budget preparation and cost control efforts. Liaise with internal teams and external vendors/clients to resolve accounting-related queries. Provide administrative support as required for accounting functions.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulations. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work. Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial data. 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (certifications like CA, ACCA, CPA are a plus). Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
