Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Assistant Manager/Team Lead for the Business Development Department of the Automation Vertical. The ideal candidate will focus on expanding business in Process Automation, PCC & MCC Panels, VFD Panels, PLC Panels, and SCADA Systems. The candidate should have 4-6 years of experience in sales and marketing within the automation domain, possess a proven business funnel, and have a strong track record of achieving targets. A solid understanding of PCC, MCC, VFD Panels, PLC Panels, and SCADA Systems, as well as the ability to prepare technical BOMs and techno-commercial quotations, is essential. The candidate should also have a good understanding of system applications required for automation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development:
o Identify, target, and acquire new business opportunities in Process Automation, PCC & MCC Panels, VFD Panels, PLC Panels, and SCADA Systems.
o Develop and manage a robust sales funnel and pipeline to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
o Foster strong client relationships to enhance customer retention and upselling opportunities.
2. Technical Expertise:
o Prepare detailed technical BOMs and techno-commercial quotations for clients.
o Understand customer requirements and system applications to offer optimal automation solutions.
o Collaborate with technical and engineering teams to deliver tailored solutions and ensure project success.
3. Strategic Planning:
o Create and implement strategic sales plans to penetrate new markets and expand the customer base.
o Analyze market trends and customer needs to develop customized automation solutions.
4. Team Leadership:
o Lead and mentor the business development team to achieve collective goals.
o Conduct regular training sessions on sales techniques and automation product knowledge.
5. Sales Operations:
o Conduct negotiations and close deals to meet or exceed revenue targets.
o Develop and present proposals, quotations, and presentations to potential clients.
6. Market Insights and Reporting:
o Gather market intelligence, including competitor analysis, industry trends, and customer feedback.
o Prepare and present regular sales performance reports and forecasts to senior management.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Experience: 4-10 years of experience in Sales and Marketing, specifically within the automation domain.
• Education: Bachelors degree in electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering or a related field. MBA in Marketing is a plus.
• Knowledge:
o Strong understanding of PCC, MCC, VFD Panels, PLC Panels, SCADA Systems, and other automation components.
o Ability to prepare technical BOMs and techno-commercial quotations.
• Track Record: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing a successful business funnel.
• Skills:
o Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
o Strong leadership and team management abilities.
o Proficient in CRM tools, MS Office, and other relevant sales software.
• Personality Traits: Highly motivated, target-driven, and solution-oriented.
