Requisition title: Automation Tester
Job Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Automation and Manual Tester with a deep understanding of both Selenium and Katalon Studio. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the test strategy, automation frameworks, and manual testing efforts, ensuring that high-quality software is delivered. This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business stakeholders.

What you will do​

• Develop comprehensive test strategies for both automation and manual testing.
• Analyze business requirements, technical specifications, and user stories to determine appropriate test approaches.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Katalon Studio.
• Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines.
• Identify areas for automation in existing manual test cases.
• Execute automated test scripts and analyze results.
• Execute manual test cases when required, especially in areas that are difficult to automate.
• Perform exploratory, regression, smoke, and functional testing.
• Log and track defects in test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
• Provide regular updates on testing progress and challenges.
• Mentor and guide junior testers in best practices for both manual and automated testing.
• Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Generate test reports, summarizing findings and providing actionable feedback.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, providing insights on testing and quality improvements.

What we are looking for​

• 3+ years of experience in automation and manual testing, specifically with Selenium and Katalon Studio.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks in Java, Groovy, or similar languages.
• Proficiency in API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI).
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control (Git).
• Ability to write SQL queries for backend validation.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Leadership qualities with a passion for mentoring others.

Nice to have​

• ISTQB, Certified Agile Tester (CAT), or equivalent certifications.
• Strong understanding of SAFe Agile methodology.
• Experience in working in insurance industry.
