Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering

Role & responsibilities - Quantity Surveyor

Will be a central resource operating from Chennai managing all project locations. Frequent travelling is part of the profile. His core responsibilities will be as below.

1. Should able to generate BOQ from Architectural and Structural GFC drawings.

2. Verifies the tender BOQ against the estimation.

3. Should able to generate technical specifications for new works.

4. Coordinates and guides the site teams for bill checking process and NT items with respect to technical specifications of Tenders.

5. Prepares the final reconciliation statement in consultation with PMC/ MRF Civil team and contractors for all civil packages and recommend management for final approval. Stores all datas in a traceable manner and provides as on when required by management.

6. Conducts periodical audit on site and present the report to the management on periodic basis.

7. Should have a skill of communication with vendor on Reduction/ deduction of quantities in their running bills.

8. Tracking paid and payables, credit and debit notes, collecting the final bill related drawings and documents and No claim certificate from respective vendors.

9. Coordinates and validates all running bills for quality, quantity and arithmetical errors in contractor bills across all sites and certifies for payment processing. Maintains and tracks all supporting documents and preserves, retrieves when audit called for.

Preferred candidate profile

B.E Civil qualification Having Experience between 12 to 15 years in the same line. Hands on with Auto cad and Microsoft Excel. Optional PG or diploma in QS.
