Production Editor-PM

Job Responsibilities-

• Editing and proofreading a specified number of various publications per year
• Supervising the work of other editors and writers, solving their dilemmas, and providing valuable feedback
• Ensuring that other editors have all the necessary working tools and materials 
• Coordinating layouts with designers
• Maintaining a relationship with clients
• Preparing paper and electronic manuscripts for typesetting
• Scheduling publishing dates and coordinating all other phases of the publication process
• Hiring freelance writers, copyeditors, and indexers and monitoring their work 
• Balancing the necessary budget for ongoing projects

Job Requirements-

• Bachelors degree required (preferably in English, Communications, Journalism, or a similar field)
• Ability to manage project workflow
• 2+ years of experience with editing printed and online publications
• Writing experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills and the ability to give oral presentations
• Perfect knowledge of grammar, syntax, spelling, and punctuation
• Strong editing/proofreading skills
• Ability to work on multiple publishing projects at the same time
