Job Summary -

Application Delivery Controllers - Code Upgrade Engineer & Subject Matter Expert - DDI Engineer (Infoblox IPAM)

Seeking highly skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME)- ADC engineer to perform obsolete hardware replacements and the execution of code/firmware for both physical and virtual appliances in critical production environments. This includes validating and migrating existing configurations, enhancing application performance, maintaining high availability, and ensuring compliance with modern security standards. The engineer will ensure minimal disruption to operations while leveraging advanced ADC features for optimized application delivery.

Seeking a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) - DDI Engineer to ensure the seamless replacement of obsolete Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP and IP Address Management) appliances and the execution of firmware, code and image upgrades for both physical and virtual appliances. The engineer will maintain the operational stability, validate and migrate configurations, and enhance the performance, availability, and security of Infoblox systems running in Critical production environments.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in upgrading and replacing application load balancers (F5 BIG-IP), including managing virtual and physical appliances.

Hands-on experience with traffic configurations, SSL Offloading and persistence policies, ensuring seamless failover and load distribution during upgrades.

Proficient in Certificate Management, key rotations, and policy configurations during upgrades.

Skilled in backup and restoration of configurations, testing post-upgrade performance, and handling advanced troubleshooting.

Planning, Execution, and Risk Mitigation:

o Develop detailed upgrade/replacement strategies, including pre-upgrade testing, rollback plans, and risk assessments for all critical appliances.

o Validate the compatibility of configurations, including load balancing rules, SSL Profiles, WAF Policies and traffic routing, with updated hardware or firmware versions.

o Ensure accurate migration of critical application delivery configurations to maintain service continuity.

o Post-upgrade Validation - Conduct rigorous validation or application delivery policies, security configurations, traffic flows, and application availability after upgrades or replacements.

o Good to Have: Knowledge on cloud-native networking services and tools (AWS, AZURE).

And

Expertise in Infoblox Grid deployments, DNS/DHCP configurations and IPAM data migration.

Proven experience in upgrading firmware, code, and images for Infoblox appliances. Strong understanding of DDI Configuration compatibility across versions.

In-depth knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM configuration and migration, ensuring accurate address management and service continuity during upgrades or replacements.

Backup configurations and validate compatibility with the target hardware/software versions.

Perform controlled replacements or upgrades to minimize downtime, Ensure step-by-step execution with rollback procedures in place.

Validate DDI functionality post-replacement or upgrade, including DNS query resolution, DHCP lease allocation and IPAM Database integrity. Test Traffic flows, service availability, and logging functionality to ensure stability in production.

Documentation and compliance - Define lifecycle management strategies for hardware and software. Maintain comprehensive documentation of upgrade activities, including change management logs and compliance reports.

Good to Have: Knowledge on cloud-native networking services and tools (AWS, AZURE).
