Network Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Basic Networking Concepts like OSI model, TCP/IP,(Logical Link Control, Flow Control, Link Negotiation)
• Basic Ethernet Concepts and Cablings.
• Good understanding on Networking concepts like VLAN's, STP, LACP, ARP, Port security, BPDU guard, Root Guard, DHCP-relay, 802.1x, EAP, RADIUS, OSFP same area/ABR/ASBR, OSPF LSA types, OSPF stages of neighborship, static-routing, BGP, BGP communities, Aggregation of routes using BGP, Policy based routing, OSPF summarization, SNMP v1/v2c/v3, Trap notification, Dos attack types and mitigation are mandatory.
• Understanding on functions of network devices switches, routers.
• Bridging and Switching Concepts, LAN Technologies such as Ethernet - CSMA/CD STP.
• STP, RSTP, MSTP, VLAN tagging.
• Remote access protocol knowledge such as SSH, telnet, FTP.
• Good Knowledge in Routing concepts, with Good knowledge in Routing Protocols like: RIP, OSPF, IGRP, EIGRP, BGP
• Server Concepts and working knowledge in DHCP, DNS, Radius, SNMP, web server etc.
• knowledge of Linux based Operation Systems, and windows servers(NPS, RADIUS, DNS, DHCP etc)
• Knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS, different HTTP operations
• Detailed analyzing of the packets using Wireshark, TCP dump etc
