Job Summary :

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in BigQuery, SQL (T-SQL), and SSIS to join our growing data team. This role will involve building and optimizing data pipelines, integrating data sources, and ensuring efficient data access for analytics and reporting. The successful candidate will be familiar with Google Cloud Platform and bring robust SQL and SSIS experience.

Responsibilities :

- Develop, implement, and optimize data pipelines in BigQuery using T-SQL and SSIS.

- Design ETL processes and workflows to support data extraction, transformation, and loading.

- Collaborate with analytics teams and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and enable efficient data access in BigQuery.

- Ensure the integrity and quality of data by implementing best practices in data validation, transformation, and processing.

- Manage BigQuery environments, including dataset, table structures, and partitioning to support scalable data operations.

- Develop scripts to automate data pipeline management, monitoring, and data quality checks.

- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for data solutions and ETL workflows.

- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are adhered to within BigQuery.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

- 3-9+ years of experience in data engineering, focusing on Google BigQuery.

- Proficiency in SQL (T-SQL) with experience in writing complex queries and optimizing for BigQuery.

- Experience in using SSIS for ETL workflows and data integration.

- Strong understanding of data warehousing principles and best practices, particularly within Google BigQuery.

- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architecture.

- Knowledge of automation scripting (Python preferred) and data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow).

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Google Cloud Certified in Data Engineering or a similar certification.

- Experience with data modeling (e.g., Star Schema, Snowflake Schema) and optimization techniques in BigQuery.

- Familiarity with other ETL and orchestration tools beyond SSIS.
