Digital Engineer

- Providing technical GIS support to specialist teams undertaking data preparation.
- Work closely with other GIS team members in the business in ongoing development and implementation of standards to day-to-day GIS processes and data management.
- Processing aerial photography. - Support the Moata geospatial delivery team in project delivery, data management and automation tasks.
- Contribute to support desk activities to triage and fix issues.
- Adhere to policies, including but not limited to IT Security and GDPR.
- Potentially support bid managers in drafting and collating bid documentation, learning the quality, environment and safety requirements of projects and develop project management skills.
- Development of Moata workspaces and python automated workflows.

Candidate Specification:

Essential

A relevant degree or experience (GIS, Geography, Geomatics, etc) is needed, alongside strong skills in GIS technology such as the ESRI suite and OGC Services.
Enthusiastic, imaginative and progressive in their work, the candidate should be striving to add value where possible for the benefit of the company and our users.
This role will require collaboration with many teams outside of your immediate line of reporting and time zone, requiring good communication skills and willingness to join calls outside of your normal working day. Ability to communicate positively, both verbally and written, with senior and junior staff alike.
Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset when dealing with complex datasets.
Ability to independently analyse information and offer improved methodologies that provide efficiencies.
