Section Head - Product Design (Design & Development)

We are hiring for the role of Section Head - Product Design (Design & Development)

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage BOM in SWAN ERP as per sales codes.
• Create customer drawings based on sales orders and new inquiries.
• Coordinate with the production, sales, and validation departments for inspection table verification.
• Design and finalize packaging drawings.
• Approve drawings, BOM, and item masters.
• Coordinate design-related testing and trials with production and quality departments.
• Ensure timely release of drawings and BOM for newly developed products.
• Maximize usage of design and testing software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
• Monitor internal department activities and changes initiated by other departments.
• Manage DCRN tracking and ensure changes are documented across all connected teams.
• Oversee customer development activities and coordinate with the marketing department to prioritize deliveries.
• Ensure proper usage of design tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Gearteq.
• Conduct random shop-floor checks and ensure quality compliance with measurement tools (Vernier, Micrometer, Dial Gauge, etc.).

Skills Required:

• Strong proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Excellent understanding of mechanical design principles and BOM management.
• Strong communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage design and production processes efficiently.
